Antidote Stocking List

The Indiana Poison Center is pleased to provide a list of recommendations for hospitals on antidote stocking to ensure optimal care of poisoned patients. The list is prioritized by the urgency with which each agent is needed, and it also includes suggested pars and typical doses used. The recommendations for Tiers 2, 3, and 4 are based on the amount of drug needed to treat a single 100 kg patient for 24 hours. Antidotes that may be needed during a mass casualty incident are found in Tier 1; pars for these drugs have been adjusted to allow treatment of five 100 kg patients for 8 hours. If your emergency planning indicates a potential need for increased numbers of antidotes to meet a specific need, please call Indiana Poison Center at 1-800-222-1222 for an individualized consult.
